The Demented Stitchers
This came about during the pandemic when Stephanie said to Jan “Let’s design cross stitch patterns!” We wanted our patterns to be a tad “demented” and unique to other cross stitch patterns you generally see. We like to think these patterns reflect our personalities, as we are light hearted, fun people and 100% crazy together, especially when alcohol is involved.
Stephanie and Jan have been cross stitching together for over thirty years, when they became college roommates. Jan taught Stephanie how to cross stitch using a basic pattern in their dorm room. They’ve been cross stitching since.
Stephanie
I am a full time teacher during the day and a craft queen at night. My favorite things to craft involve cross stitch and my Cricut. If I could craft all day, I would be a very happy woman! My brain is a bit more technical than Jan’s so I handle most of the technology. Just how “demented” am I? My nieces and nephews call me “Crazy Aunt Stephanie” and actually introduce me to their friends that way.
Jan
I am an administrative assistant by day and another craft queen at night. My favorite crafts involve cross stitch and crochet. I, too, would be very happy if crafting could become my day job. My brain is a tad bit more creative than Stephanie’s so I handle a lot of the custom designs people request. Just how “demented” am I? I’m called “Crazy Cat Lady” Yup. I’m that person.
